ADDINGTON STOCK MARKET.

CHRIST CHURCH, November 28. The entries at Addington comprised 1500 fat sheep, 350 fat lambs, 4500 store sheep, 323 cattle, and 330 pigs. Fat Cattle.— r J 'he 177 head yarded, with the exception of a show bullock and two steers from Palmorston North, were mostly cows and heifers. The market was irregular, -with slight decline. Prime beef brought 21s to 23s Gd; other, 18s to 20s per 1001b. Show bullocks sold at from £13 5s to £13 108; show steers, £10 to £11 ss; local steers, £7 15s to £9 ss; haifers, £5 10s to £S 17s 6d; cows, £4 15s to £S 15s.

Fat Sheep. — There was a small supply of fat sheep, which were mostly shorii. There were not many of^ good quality. The market was in the hands* of the local butchers, and was irregular, with a slight decline, except for prime lots. Woolly wethers brought 18s 8d to 22s 9cl; shorn do, 16s to 20s Cd; woolly ewes, 16s to 21s; shorn do, 22s to 18s Id.

Fat Lambs. — This class included some of good quality, and there was good competition. Sales were effected at from 13s to 16s Id.

Store Sheep. — These sold well. Woolly wethers realised 17s Id to 17s Sd; shorn, 14s 9d to 14s lid; woolly hoggets, 11s to 163 9d; woolly ewes, with lambs (all counted), 7s 5d to 9s 3d for aged, and 11s 4d to 12s 7d for good; shorn do, 10s 7d to 10s Sd.

Pigs. — There was a moderate yarding of pigs, and a good sale resulted, with an improvement for baconers, which brought 31s to 455, averaging 3Jd per lb. Porkers realised Qls to 30s, equal to 3Jd to 4d per lb; stores, 13s to 17s 6d; slickers and wcaners, 5s to 11s.
