"Knots and Puzzles" appear weekly in The Outlook for Seniors and Juniors. The number of competitors is this year over 300, about equally divided into Seniors and Juniors, residing from Auckland to Stewart Island. Thirty-seven of the Seniors met at North Taieri on Prince of Wales' Birthday, two coming specially all the way from Dunrobin and Mataura — 111 and 107 miles off, while the average distance travelled by each member of the party was 80 miles.

Champion 6-rater yacht of the Australasian Colonies, 36ft on water line. Sailed and owned by A. T, Pittar, Auckland. Built, by L^i Bros o f |™X in 1898. Competed at Sydney Yacht Club racea in February of the present year, and won the Championship Is now on the way down from Auckland to compete — at the Lyttelton Regatta New Year a Day Champion Yacht Races.
