The Mrs Ed wards fund, TO THE EDITOR.
Sir, — As many who have so generously contributed to this fund stipulate that the money should not be used to liquidate the outstanding debts of her husband, I may say that the principal creditors met and agreed to write off the accounts.
The _ appeal on behalf of Mrs Edwards has met with a very generous response, both by the people of Dunedin and Kaitangata, bxifc much is needed yet to place the poor woman and her family beyond the reach of want.
A public meeting is to be held in Kaitangata on Saturday next, to take further steps towards raising money and vesting the fundy in the hands of trustees. — I am, etc., James Fitzgekald. i
