A Wellington telegram says:— "The three Wellington swimming clubs have decided to form a centre of the New Zealand Amateur Swimming Association." A cable received at Christchurch states that the premier tennis team leave Melbourne on December 12 to take part in the championships at Ohristchurch on December 20. An Auckland telegram states that at " a meeting of the committee of the Amateur Athletic Club, Messrs Campbell (sprints and hurdles), Sutherland (flat distances), C. O. Laurie (jumps and pole vault), C. M'Affer (walks) "were chosen to represent the club at the New Zealand Championship meeting at Christchurch next month. Smith (the hurdle champion) and Madill (hammer and shot champion) are unable to make the trip. The Lyttelton Jubilee Regatta Committee have decided to 1 inform the Amateur Rowing Association that it was impossible to conduct the regatta under the prgposed condition-?, and they would therefore adhere to the published programme.
