The Croikweli Argus reports that the Maori •Iredge washed up for a return of 15oz last week. The Hartley and Riley Beach Dredging Cornjpany (Limited) washed up on Friday for a return of 83oz 13dwt of gold for 138 hours' dredging. i' The following gold dredging returns for last •Week are reported: — Junction Electric No. 2, •670z 16dwt; Ngapara No. 2, 21oz 12dwt; Manorburn, 14oz 17dwt I2gr. Last week's return from the Ngapara No. 3 dredge was soz. The Secretary reports that the Meg and Annie dredge obtained 71oz last week. The Secretary of the Empire Dredging Company reports a return' of 340z 16dwt for last week. The Dredgemaster of the Golden Beach. Hydraulic Elevating and Dredging Company reports that he washed up 50oz 12dwt for 129 \iours' dredging. He adds that the wash is improving. She is working well. Mr ,J. J. Gibson, Lawrence, reports that the Success dredge obtained 350z 2dwt 6gr last week. He also reports that the Lawrence dredge did not ■wash" up, as 'new tubes are being put in the boiler. The Secretary of the Clyde Dredging Company reports a return of lloz for two and a-half days' -work. The river- is 7ft 9in above normal. The Secretary of the Charlton Creek Dredging Company reports a return of 370z lOdwt for 128 hours' dredging. The Secretary reports that the Matau dredge obtained 950z last week. The Secretary of the Earnscleugh No. 2 Dredging Company reports a return of 540z Sdwt for 103 hours' dredging. The Secretary of the Enterprise Dredging Company reports the following returns: — No. 1 dredge, 560z Bdwt; No. 2 dredge, 12oz. The Secretary of ths Morning Star Dredging Company reports a return d 18oz lldwt for 95 hours' work. The Secretary of the Manorburn Dredging Company reports .a return of 13oz 4dwt for 110 hours' dredging. The Secretary of the Electric Dredging Company reports tnat there was no wash up last week, as the dredge'was repairing. The Secretary of the Magnetic Dredging Company reports that there was no wash tip last week. The dredge has gone down to the foot of the claim, and is opening out. The Secretary of the Electric Extended has received the following telegram from the dredgemaster: '' No wash up; have to open up again ; drift bad." The Dredgemaster of the Central Electric reports : "No wash-up on Saturday, owing to a slight mishap to the engine." The Secretary of the Tuapeka Dredging Company reports a retiyrn of 17oz 15dwt for 130 hours' dredging during the weefli ended Saturday last. The Secretary of the Evans Flat Dredging Company reports a return of 15oz Idwt for 114 hours' work during last week. The Secretary of the Nevis Gold Dredginsr Company reports a return of 240z 12dwt for 120 hours' work. , The Upper Waipori Alluvial Gold Dredging Company obtained last week 430z 6dwt of gold for 134 hours' dredging. The Jutland Flat Company's dredge -was unable to work last week owing to a flood in the river having carried away trie dam. The Secretary of the Chatto Creek Dredging Company reports a return of 12oz 4dwt for 248 hours' work. The dredge has been turned, and is now working towards the Moutere side of the claitn. The Secretary of the Richards's Beach Dredging Company reports a return of 19oz lOdwt for last week. The Vincent dredge started work on Monday morning. The Dredgemaster of the Nugget Gold Dredging Company reports that owing to the flooded state of the river the dredge could not bottom, and in consequence, he did not wash up.
