PIONEER BICYCLE CLUB'S RACES. CHRISTCHURCH, November 25.
The Pioneer Amateur Bicycle and Athletic Club held its sports meeting yesterday. The weather was beautifully fine, but the attendance was not very large. The principal ■events were won as follows : — v 100 yds H-nndicap. — E. T. Harper, syds. Time, 10 4-ssec. Mile Walk.— P. H, Stnbberfield, 80yds. •Time, 7miia 20 4-Ssec. .Half-mile Handicap. — J. M. Lynsky, scr. Time, 2min 4 2-ssec. 220yda Handicap.— R. Treleaven, 12yds. One-mile Flat. — S. Pentecost, scr. Time, 4min '47 4-ssec. 120 yds Hurdles— E. T. Harper, owes 120 yds, 1. Time, 18 3-ssec. 440 yds. — J. M. Lynskey, scr. Time, 56 2-ssec. Mile Novice Cycle Race.— E. Hammon, scr. Time, 2min 25sec. Half-mile Bicycle Handicap.— E. Hammon, 40yds. Time, lmin 6 l-ssec. One-mile Bump Handicap.— T. E. \ "Afield, scr. The final heat of the two-mile event was declared void, on account of the loafing of the competitors. Christ's_.College team won the Club Teams' Race.
