WAIKOIKOI.

November 26. — The weather of late has been cold and unsettled, but there are now indica-. tions of a' change for "the better. Farm work is well advanced generally, turnip-sowing, sheep-shearing, and grain-carting occupying the farmers' time at present. The oat braird is looking healthy, but we need hardly expect an early harvest. A considerable area of ryegrass is being saved for seed throughout the district. Grass is plentiful, and both cattle and sheep are looking well. The percentage of lambs has -proved" higher than in former years. Orchards, too, shew evidence of a plentiful crop, and altogether the district is looking fat and hearty.
