AUCKLAND.

Mr W. Ronson, local manager for theWestporl Coal Company, has made arrangements for supplying the United States transport Abarenda, which visits this 'port next month, with 4000 tons of Westport coal for the naval depot at Pagopago, Samoa. The company, at the request of the United States Navy department, sometime ago forwarded samples of coal to Washington for analysis, and it is evident that the results of the tests were satisfactory.
