WAIKAKA FORKS DREDGE. TO THE EDITOR.
Sir, — A paragraph appeared in your paper on Saturday amongst some notes from " a correspondent " -which stated that this dredge was a mere toy. If your correspondent will send his name and adrlress through your issue I will be glad to furnish him with full particulars of the size and capacity of the dredge, as it is quite evident that he has not seen it. If he has seen it, perhaps he is one of the sort of critics now so common who. having invested £5 to £50 in shares, perambulate the country, inspect a few dredges, and put themselves up a«i heaven-born authorities on dredging. — I am, etc., Edward Roberts.
