THE UNION COMPANY'S SUMMER EXCURSIONS.
•The usual Sounds excursion, which has always proved so popular, is now advertised, and will be made by the Union Company's anagnificept liner Waikare, which boat has /been specially fitted up to give the maximum of comfort. The Waikare on her first excursion will leave Melbourne on Thursday, Janu-
r ary 3, for Hobart, the Bluff, and Dunedin, ar-'i-ivihg here on the 10th of January. She re--mains here tAVO days, and on Saturday, the i'l2th, will depart for the excursion, via the i'Bluff. She will spend ten days about the j'lSounds, and then return to Dunedin, arrivling here on the 24th of January. On Monday, the 28th, she leaves lor Melbourne with jSher complement of passengers from, that port. .-The cost of the trip from Dunedin Avill range [ifrom £14, according to th-3 accommodation { required. The plan of the vessel is v iioav open. i .The excursion to Stewart Island, which has also proved extremely popular, will be repeated this year; but it is not quite certain 'yet whether the trip will extend beyond the ■;usual time or not. Further particulars will, however, be advertised later on, and should it.be deemed desirable the trip will be extended beyond Christmas and Baxing Days.
