F.C.C., the great authority on manures, writes as follows :—": — " With, oats Lachow obtained an extra crop of 80 per cent, grain, 21 per cent, straw by using Scwt Thomas's Phosphate meal, per acre. Results show that the action of guano is only one-third and of Bone Meal only one-tenth of that produced by Superphosphate. Finely ground Thomas's Meal acts twice as powerfully as the phosphoric acid in Guano, and six times more intensely than the phosphoric acid in Borte Meal.'' Thomas's Phosphate is now the Cheapeci Source of Phosphoric Acid. Messrs Wrightson and Munro's experiments on Ferry Hill prove that Thomas's Phosphate on tiie Turnip Crop gave splendid results. On one-tenth of an acre 451b Thomas's Phosphate produced lOcwt of . roots and 2cwt 3qrs 141b of tops 451b Superphosphate produced Scwt lqr of roots and 2cwt lqr Mlb of tops No manure gave only 3qr 91b of roots and lqr 191b of tops.
