How fair she looks when gentle sleep
.Seals her sweet eyes of heavenly blue; While her loose ti esses sli!y cieep
To kiss her cheek of rosy hue!
High on her breast a hand of snow
Heaves like a. bark on foamy sea; While softly, smoothly, whiteiy flow Her rounded limbs at liberty.
O might I press those finger tips,
That hide the dearer ]oys f_oin view! O might I kiss those tempting lips,
And rob their wealth o! balmy dewl
Be still, my heart! Beat slower yetl Nor let the floods of possion pour; Upon tl^ose charms divinely sweet, A moment gaze, and wish no more! — H. J. B.
