GAMES.
Played recently at the Dundee Draughts Ciub, and contributed with notes to the Leeds Mercury by Mr W. Taylor.
Game 6015.— " Ayrsbiie Lassie."
(a) Varying from Game l^o. 3255, at 14th move. Is tiiis a loss? (b) Forcing White's play. (c) After a good deal oi quiet consideration, I made the remark that I had a wm on here. Some of the dons said it would require more light! (d) When I played this move, I heard it remarked, "If you had a Black win on hand before, surely you have slipped it by that move." (b) And here they thought that White had the "pull." (f 1 ) "And yet the win is as far off as ever," remarked one ; "And White's position looks cheery,"' says another. (g) I have taken' a glance at 23 18 here, but I find that it loses also.
(k) Black's best move. (i) White played well to keep the wolf away ; but when the game was finished all agreed in saying I had made good my assertion.
