ALHAMBRA THEATRE,
Fuller's Bijou Company appeared at tha Alhambra Theatre on Saturday night in a change of programme, the house being crowded to excess in every part. The performance appeared to give universal satisfaction, nearly every item on the programme being encored. Mr Charles Fanning, who has become a warm' favourite with pations of the theatre, was m gieat request, being recalled again and again". On one occasion the audience named the song he was to sing, and eveiy time he came to the choiu3 they joined in with great heartiness, and seemed to thoroughly enjoy the -diversion. Besides liberally responding to encores for vocal items, Mr Fanning appealed in an amusing skit, entitled " Far-bi-y-ondi," in which ha took off a well-known comedian who recently played here, the audience being almost convulsed with laughter at his performance. Mr Sid Luclla, Mr John Tudor, and Mr Fred Duval were also well received, each of them obtaining a recall for comic songs. Miss Nellie Jordan gave a song and dance which were vociferously oncoied, and MissjPolly Robertson's ballad singing was greatly enjoyed. Miss Coialie Chardonc anade her first appearance, and besides singing a serio-comic song, which was well received, she alto took part with Mr .). Tudor in an original ske'.ch, "The New Han pad the New "Woman, which created p gcocl de.il of anm«oinent. 'the Flying Jcrdana gave another of their remarkably clover performances, mid the enteitainment concluded with a iaree which sent the audience home in high good luimour. On "Wednesday night xhe followingnew nrtist3 are to appear at the theatre. — Mr Johnny Co lonian, an original ccmedkn aad dpucc; Miss Lottie Lome, a seric-c^nic oiii^er; Sivio.ii, an eccentiio eompduui ; Miss Lena I'cunp, a contialto singer; Mr Gqrdo'i 1-ariorienne, a character comedian; and Fisko, who is tsui to be a clever juggler.
