INTER-UNION FIXTURES.
September 13. — Wanganui v. Thames, at " Thames. September 15.— Southland v. Otago, at DunSeptember 15.— Auckland v. Wanganui, at Auckland. . September 19.— Taranaki v. Wanganui, at Hawera. At a meeting of the Seven a-side Tournament Committee held at Port 'Chalmers on the sth it was decided to adopt the suggestion of the O.R.F.U. — that the tournament be postponed until Saturday, September 22, and be played on the Caledonian ground, Duneflin. Up to the present 16 teams' have entered. Judging by this a very keen interest is b'eiug* taken in the tournament, and a good afternoon's sport 13 anticipated. A mixed team from the Southern and Green Island Association Clubs journeyed to Kaitangata on Saturday and defeated the local team by 3 goals- to 1. For the visitors Paterson kicked all the goals, while Alexander scored for the home team. Mr Brown made •an efficient referee.
