DUNEDIN JOCKEY CLUB.

-The monthly meeting of the committee of the Dunedin Jockey Club Avas held last week ; present — Messrs Solomon (in the chair), Taggart, Carr, Coughlan, Meenan, Hazlett, Bullock, Thomson, ±\lills, Grindley, Vigers, and Myers. Eleven applications were received for the position of handicapper, and, on a ballot being taken, Mr George Dowse wat, elected. Mr H. Piper was appointed starter and Mr Cr. W. Williams clerk of the ,=cales. The follov/ing sub-committees wore appointed: — Financial — Messrs Hazletl, Mills, Carr, Bullock, and Vigers ; Works Committee — Messrs Thomson. Hazlett, Grindley, and Taggart ; Band and Luncheon Committee — Messrs Coughlan, Dawoon, Myers, Thomson, and Vigers.
