DUNEDIN HORSE SALE YARDS.

WEEKLY KEPOHT. Messrs Wright, Steplienson, and Co. report as follows : — There was a fair show of horses at our sale last ' Saturday, aud most of them found new owners at highly satisfactory prices. In the draught class there were several useful horses offering, but no horse of more than ordinary merit. The consignment from .North Otago •were good farm sorts, ans sold at the following prices: — Bay gelding, £18 10s; bay mare, £45; chestnut mare, £45; bay gelding, £40 10s,; bay mare, £38; bay gelding, £37; bay filly'(unbroken), £34. A large number of other horses found purchasers at full market rates. Light ( horses were nlso.in good demand, and several intending purchasers had to go away disappointed. We- could, place a very large mirnbei? ■of both light and draught horses at present, and would like to see larger numbers of really good young horses at our weekly -sales. We ' quote: Superior young draught geldings, £46 rto £55 ; extra good, prize horses, £55 to £G0 ; medium draught mares and geldings, £38 to £43; aged do, £28 to £35; upstanding carriage horses, £25 to £30 ; well-matched carriage pairs, £60 lo £70; strong spring-jvan horses, £28 to £33 ; milk-cart and butchers' order-cart horses, £18 to £28; tram horses, £1-1 to £20; light iiacks, £10 to £14;- extra good hacks, £18 to j£2s ; weedy and aged hacks mid harness horses, £2 to £5.
