Messrs A. Moritzson and Co. report for week ending September 11: — . Wheat. — There is a steady demand for prirna samples at late quotations. Other sorts have also a little more inquiry than of late.. We quote: Best velvet, 2s 6d to 2s 8d; medium, 2s 3d to 2s sd; best Tuscan, 2s Gd to 2s 8d; medium, 2s 4d to 2s sd; fowl wheat, Is lid to 2s Id. - Oats: The demand has not been so active during the last week, and prices are lather lower. We quote: Best feed, Is Bid; medium and inferior, Is 3d to la 8d; Sutherlands, Is 9d per bushel. Barley: Prime samples have some attention, but in medium qualities there is little business passing. Feed sorts are quoted at Is 3d to Is 6d ; milling, Is 6d to Is lOd ; prime malting, 2s 3d to 2s 63; Lakes, 3s to 3s 3d fojprimest samples, but medium qualities are only saleable at low prices. Eyecorn, nominally, 2s lo 2s 3d, no gale. Maize, 3s bushel. Prussian blue peas, 4s GcJ b'lshel Scotch and English tares, 5s 6d per bushel. Flour : We quota £6. Oatmeal in 25's, £10. Pearl barley, £10 10s. Bran, £3 10s. Pollard, £4. Nelson hops are quoted at 10-1 lo lid (f.0.b.). Chaff: Fair demand, for best" qualities. Prime, £2 5s to £2 10s ; medium, £1 17s 6d to £2 2s 6d. Eyegrass: Buyers' ideas of values are: For farmers' diessed, Is 2d to Is sd; extra, to Is 9d; machined, 2s to 2s 3d; .extra, 2s 6d~ per bushel. We have a good inquiry. Cocksfoot, 2id to 3d for farmers' lots, and 3£d to 4d for machined. Linseed, £10 to £12. Pressed straw. 27s 6d. Clover hay, £3 to £3 ss. Nitrate of soda, £15. Clovers, rape, etc., all fresh. Potatoes. — Prime Oamarus are worth 355; medium, i;ss to 27s 6cl; kidneys, slow, 20s. Hides, 3Jd to 4id, according to weight and condition. Tallow.— Rough fat, lls Gd to 12s 6d; rendered, 14s to 16s. Horsehair, Is 2d to' Is 4d. Sheepskins. — Crossbreds, 2s 3d to ss ; extra, to 5s 6d. Lambskins, Is 4d to 2s 9d; extra, to 3s 4d. Pelts, 6d to 2s. We held our usual sale of skins on Tuesday, when there wag a good demand. Rabbitskins. — We offered a large catalogue this week, and, after good competition, cleared the lot at satisfactory prices. Summer, from 6d to 8d ; small, 3d to sd ; autumns, 9d lo lid ; early winters, llld to 14d ; winters, 14d to 16£ d; selected, to 17cl per lb.< We have now erected a complete clover-clean-ing plant, and all our other machinery up-to-date is the finest plant in the Southern Hemis>phere. Farmers are invited to inspect. Please consign to our siding. We are agents for Newton's patent wool press, which y,'e offer at £15 each; can be inspected in our store. FRUIT AND PRODUCE REPOHT. Eggs.— Vickery's preservative, 22s 6d pe£ case. Order must be accompanied by payment. Butter preservitas, Is 6d per lb. Salt butter: Prime milled and dairy, 7Jd to 8d; pastry, 6Jd to 7d; factory, 9id to lOd; separator, 8d to 9d. Pigs. — Sizes up to 1601b at 3d, over that; weight, 2d to 2|d; coming to hand'- more plentifully. Hams, 6£d to 7d ; . rolls, 5Jd tq 6d; flitches, s£d to 6d; middles, 6d. Honey, 4d to 4Jd ; small tins, scl p"er lbBeeswax, Is 6d. Walnuts, 5d to 6d. Roosters, 3s to 3s 6d; hens, 2s 6d to 2s 9d;; ducks, 3s, 4s 6d; geese, 5s to 5s 6d. Turkeys:!
