GREY RIVER CONSOLIDATED DREDGING COMPANY.

The annual meeting of the Grey River Consolidated Diedging Company was held on Thursday m Messrs Mercer and Mitchell's board rocm in Bond street. There was a fair attendance of shareholders, and Mr C. Fiaser (the chairman of directois) presided. In moving the adoption of the report (already published) and the balance sheet, the Chairman mentioned that the calls had come m very well, only some <£84 being actually oveidue. The contractors for tho machinery and pontoons were making good X'rogres3, and, from present appearances, the work would not be much behind the time stipulated in the contracts. The reports which had come to hand showed that the claim was a good one. The report and balance sheet were unaiiimoasly adopted, and Messrs H. Adam and H. Crust were le-elected directors. Mr James Jlargreaves, of Ahaura, was elected a resident director on the West Coa&t. Mr George Blyth was re-appointed auditor. Mr Kyle (one of the diiectors), who had visited' the claim, explained its position, and stated that he had tested 'the ground in various places and found payable' gold everywhere. Mr G. M. Marshall, who had also visited the claim, exhibited fi sample of the gold he had obtained when he visited the claim some time after Mr Kyle's visit. A vote of thanks and confidence in the diiectors was carried unanimously, and the "meeting closed.
