PORT CHALMERS CLUB.

The animal meeting of the Port Chalmers Bowling 1 Club was held on Thursday evening in the Currie street Hall. Mr M'Lachlan, president, occupied the chair, a fair attendance of members being present. The President, in moving the adoption of the report, congratulated the club on its present condition, and reviewed the past season's play, which was very favourable considering thai; che season was so wet, and little practice engaged in. Mention was made of the loss-, through, death, of two of the club's most earnest members — namely, Messrs Bauchop and Bundle. The President- remarked* that the rules of the club having been altered from time to time, it would be as well if the same were gone over and revised, and submitted to a general meeting. The Secretary and Treasurer read the club's financial stater, nit, which showed that a. balance of .£27 35s was ( at credit in the bank, and ihe sum of &1 Is, subscriptions outstanding, brought the ■Ictal credit to JS34 16s. A notice of mol'on, signed by five members of the club, to the effaot that the annual subscription be reduced f am 30s to 21s, on being put to the meeting was duly carried ; the same entry money to remain as before. The election of office-l^eaieis for the ensuing year took place, and re tilted as follows: — Mr G-. Hendry, president ; Mr G-. Edgar, viceptesident; J.lr J. Gray, ?p-retaiy and treasurer; General Committte — Messrs Sutton, Dodds, Monsun, M'ivinnon, Hu iter, and M'Lachlan; Match Committee — Messrs Monson and Bauchop ; auditor, Mr Hunter ; delegates to tho tier/ Zealand Bowling Association — the president and secretary. A vote of thanks was tendered to the retiring office-bearers, also to the donors of match, prizes. , It was unanimously resolved that, the club's appreciation of the services of the late Messrs Bsuic'hop aiid Bundle be recorded in h the minutes, and that" a letter of condolence be sentJ to their respective widows. The following committee were appointed to levise the rules of the club,' and to report same as early as possible: — Messrs Hendry, Edgar, M"Lachlan, and Gray.
