. NEW PLYMOUTH, August 28. The Otago football team had a smooth paFsage from Wellington in the Rotoiti. They were driven from the breakwater to the town in a drag placed at their disposal by the Taranaki Rugby Union. After luncheon, they spent some time in the beautiful recreation grounds, of which New Plymouth is justly proud. They had a practice on the Fitzroy ground, a short distance out of town. Adams, the full. back, who had fared badly on the pea trip from Lyttelton to Wellington, was despatched by the management of the team by rail from' Wellington, arriving here last night. The team go on to Auckland late to-night. AUCKLAND, August 29. The Otago representative football team arrived at Onehunga this morning bj the Rotoiti from Wellington, after a splendid trip. The team was met by the officials of the Auckland Ilugby Union, and driven in brakes to the. Criterion Hotel, Albert street,- where they will put up during their stay here. August 30. The Otago football team, who had a beautifully fine trip up the coa^t, have boen favoured with two perfect days in Auckland. This morning they had a good practice at Potter's Paddock, ai»d in the afternoon were driven to .bake Takapuna in brakes j>rovided. by the Auckland Rugby Union, which is sparing no effort to make the southerners' stay enjoyable.
