Tb.3 matches for the Lauies Golf Championship were continued to-day. Results : — CHAMPIONSHIP OF NEW ZEALAND. Second Round. — Mrs Pearce beat Miss Begg by 2 up and Ito play ; Miss Rattray beat Miss Scolt by 4 xip and 3to play ; Mrs Wilder beat Mif'3 Gillies by 4up and 2to play ; Mrs Vernon beat Mrs Bidwill by 5 up and 3 to play. This leaves Mrs Pearce, Miss Rattray, Mrs Wilder, and Mrs 3^rnon to compete in the semi-finals, which will be played to-morrow. The handicap match was won by Miss Bell,

The Ladies' Golf Championship meeting was continued v to-day, when the semi-finals for the championship were played. Some excellent work was put in, and Miss Rattray achieved a record for ladies' matches on the Hagley Park links, doing the first round in 44, or one under five, and the first six holes of the second round in 30. The following are the results : — Miss Rattray beat Mrs Pearce, 4 up and 3 to play. Mrs Wilder beat Mrs Vernon, 3 up and 2 to play. The driving competition, for which there were 20 entries, was won by Miss Rattray with 340. Mrs "Wilder (327) was second, and Miss Scott (311) third. August 30. The final of tho Ladies' Golf totirnament was played at Hagley Park to-day between Miss Rattray, of Dunedin, and Mrs Wilder, of Christchurch. The game was an exciting one, Miss Rattray winning by one point at the last hole. Miss Rattray now becomes the possessor of the champion cup, as she has won it three years in succession. August 31. At the ladies' golf championship meeting to-day the Bogey Match was won by Miss Scott.
