A BIG, STEAL. LONDON, August 23.

A man named Gross, formerly a clerk in the Paris Bank in London, has been remanded on a charge of stealing £60,000 from the bank in January, 1899, on which date £70,000 in notes disappeared from the cashier's drawer. Goss admitted cashing some of the missing notes, which he alleged he found in the pocket of his office coat.
