TUAPEKA JOCKEY CLUB

- The adjourned annual meeting of members of the Tuapeka County Jockey Club was held in the Council Chambers on Friday evening. The President (Mr H. Craig) wa? in the chair, and about 30 members were present. The result of the canvass by Messrs H. Hart and D. Munro since previous meeting, held a week ago, was an accession of over 30 new members. The annual report and balance sheet, showing the club (in. spite of last year's operations, through bad weather, being on the wrong side) to be in a sound financial position, with a credit balance of about £150, wore received and adopted. The following officers and committees were elected : — President, Mr Hugh Craig; A'ice-presidentg — Messrs James Ro-' bertson and B. Winn ; treasurer, Mr F. Oudaille ; secretary, Mr J. J. Gibson ; judge, Mr A. M. Eyes ; clerk of the course, Mr D. Munro ; clerk of scales, Mr George Morrison; clerk of totalisator, Mr H. Hart; starter, Mr B. Hart ; official timekeeper, Mr James Hopkins; stewards — Messrs J. C. Arbuckle, A. B. Haggitt, James Kelligher, T. B. Line, J. T. Nicholls, W. R. Pearson, and M. Potts ; Grounds Committee — President, Messrs Robertson, Potts, Kelligher, and Line ; Programme Committee — President, Messrs Eyes, Munro, OucibTle, Hopkins, and Potts; Printing Commi I'i'je — President and Secretary.
