THE BUBONIC PLAGUE.
MELBOURNE, July 26.
The Beard of Health have resolved, owing to the absence of plague, that the method of inspecting vessels be discontinued. The strict berthing regulations, however, will remain in operation a little longer.
SYDNEY, July 29.
The death of Elsie George Early, a plague patient, is recorded. The other patients are all convalescent. There has been no fresh ca&e for 11 days* BRISBANE, July 25. Peter Buckland, of Townsville, has been attacked with plague.
July 26. John Clancy and Edith Marriott have been attacked with plague.
The son of Clancy, who was yesterday attacked by plague, is also smitten.
July 27. Euckland, a plague patient, is dead. John Henderson, of Cairns, has been attacked by the plague.
July 28. A man named Lawrence Abrahams has been attacked by plague.
TOWNSVILLE, July 30. Three men named M"Connell, "Wood, and Thompson have been attacked by plague.
