May, an increase of 36. The deaths in June were 182, an increase of 1 on tho number in May. Of the total deaths males contributed 99 and females 83. Forty-four of the deaths were of children under 1 five years of age, being 24.18 per cent, of the whole number. Thirty-five of these were under one yeai of age. There were 51 deaths of persons of 65 years and upwards.
