WEDDING AT HALDANE.

Dear Emmeline, — A very pretty wedding took place here on. Monday, July 16, when Miss Mary Donnelly, fourth daughter of Mr Thomas 33onnelly, of Fortrose, was married to Mr Charles Harvey, youngest son of Mr Henry Harvey, of Haldane. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Mr Johnstone, Presbyterian minister, 01 Fortrose, the bridesmaid being Miss Jane Milne, while Mr Henry Harvey (brother of the bridegroom) acted in the capacity of best man. The bride looked charming in a navy blue dress trimmed with Itfaltcsa lace. She wore a lovely veil of embroidered tulle, with the customary wreath of orange blossoms, and a lovely brooch, the gift of the bridegroom. The bridesmaid was dressed in khaki, trimmed with lace. After the ceremony the guests adjourned t& a spacious shed, which was tastefully decorated" with ferns, flags, and evergreens. In the evening an. enjoyable dance took place in the Haldane School, the building being decorated for the occasion, and all went home thoroughly satisfied with the day's enjoyment. Many of the presents were valuable, and all useful and acceptable to a young couple beginning housekeeping. As lam aware of your rule against inserting details of the presents, 1 refrain from, sending the list. — MEC-iBRA.
