' The Yorkshire Light Infantry, Munster" ' Fusiliers, and Royal "Irish RegimeJnt ■ were * also conspicuous with- bayonet feats. * ' The Royal Irish carried the • main- position, and captured a Boer 15-pounder -gun. July 19. - - Lord Roberts reports that 1500 Boers, - with five guns, broke through Generals Hunter and Bundle's cordon at Bethlehem. Generals Broadwood and Ridley are pursuing them closely ,in the direction of . Lindley. July 21... General Hunter is reconnoitring between Bethlehem and Ficksburg. - July 23. A New Zealander named H. F. Hall wai slightly wounded at Bethlehem. The Boers wrecked a train conveying 21 invalids between Krugersdorp and Potchefstroom.
