(From Our Own Correspondent.) LYELL, July 20. The Mine Manager of the Alpine mine re<porta as follows: — "The No. 7 level has been driven ahead north for a further distance of 15ft. There has been no solid stone in the drive since Thursday last, but the country is still of a favoiirable character, there being several stringers of quartz in the face. Stoping has been continued on the reef further to the south, where there are sft of stone, and another make appears to be coming in underneath from the footwall, but v/e have not yet been able' U break into it.
