During the month of June the following produce was shipped fiom Dunedin: — Butter, 429cwt, valued at £2353 ; cheese, 4439cwt, valued at £10,205; lamb, 6653 carcases, valued at £3150. From Oamaru therj was shipped: — Beef, 17cwt, valued at £16 ; mutton, 5457 carcases, valued at .62729 ; lamb, 17,-113 carcases, -valued at ;CS5i9. The business is perhaps one of the largest and soundest in the colonies, and it is *reported that tho recent boom in the world's metal markets has placed the business in a position far exceeding that of previous j-ears. Mr Eugh Macneil, po well known in Dunedin for many years, is largely responsible, for the firm's sreeess in the colonies, and the flotation of Briscoe and Co. (Limited) promises to forge another ioint stock company link of magnitude in trie trade of these- colonies with' that of the United Kingdom. Mr Hugh Macneil, jun., we understand, will be the managing director of the new company.
