JUNIOR GRADE FLAG MATCHES.
The match Dunedin v. High School resulted in a win for Dunedin by 19 points to 3 points. For Dunedin, S. Teesdale scored three tries and J. Stalker two, Cornish converting two of them. Nicholson scored 'for the School, the kick at goal proving futile. The parsing of the Dunedin was too much for the School, 'all the tries being the result of good passing rushes. J. Stalker and S. Teesdale were the pick of the Dunedin backs, though credit must be given to the others for their first-class assistance. The forwards all played well, Churchill, Stevenson, Crisp. Teesdale, and Familton being perhaps the pick. For "the School, Nicholson, Gilray, Shaw, De Lautour, and Harrison seemed mast prominent.
The Alhambra and Southern met at Opoho Park on Saturday, the former eventually winning by one goal, six tries, one potted goal, and one penalty goal (30 points) to nil. Tries were scored by Howard (2). J. Dey, Sayers, Breen, D. M'3Jaren, and S. Anderson, and Larkins kicked two goals, while J. Dey was responsible for the ported goal. Pimm. M'Laren, and Dcv were the pick of the Alhambra backs, and Cameron and Sayers were the best among the forwards.
The match between the Kaikorai and Uni versity, played at Bishopscourt, resulted in a victory for the former by 8 points to 6. The features of the srame wore the splendid pp.ssing of the 'Varsity backs and too good runs by M'Pherson, who scored the two tries obtained by the loeerp. For the winners. Rigby and Sinclair each scored a try. one of which was converted by Jackson. Mr D. Ritchie made an efficient referee.
Ravensbourne and Union met at Ravensbourne, and a fast game resulted in a. win for the former by three tries (9 points) to a try (3 points). J. Collins, W. Connor, and E. Mahs scored for the winners, and R. Wott* for the losers. Mr Boyd made an efficient referee.
The ppcond grade flag match Port Chalmers v. Pirates was, played at Port Chalmers. and resulted in a win for Port by 6 points to nil.
