ARROW JOCKEY CLUB.
At the annual meeting on the 16th insfc. Mr G. U. Romans took the chair. The balance sheet showed a credit of £2 12s 3d. Mr Pcrrellc reported that Messrs Cotter, Richardson, and himself had waited on Mr P.eid, with a, view of leasing the latter's paddock for a term of years, and they were instructed to have the necessary agreement drswn urj with Mr Reid. .It was decided that the annual races take place on Saturday. ]\'ovember 17. The secretary was instructed to write to Mr G. D. Baird expressing- sincere regret; at the loss the club had sustained by tho death of Mr R. H. Baird, and at the same time acknowledging the great cneray displayed and valuable assistance given by the deceased gentleman. The following office-bearers were elected: — President, Mr James Eevin ; vicepresidents, Messrs J. L. Jopp, G. H. Romans, and Dr M'Brearly ; indpre, 'Mr J. L. Jopp ; clerk of course, Mr P. de la Pcrrelle ; clerk of scales, Mr 0. Illin swrrth ; handicapper and secretary, Mr H. B. Smith-; stewards, Mes&rd R. J. Cotter, J. J. Cotter, A. Jopn, G. D. Baird, ,7. Steplienson, D. O"3?ee, T. Hazeldine, R, M Peterson. J. H. Martin, S. M'Skimming, D. Richardson, J. Timpany, C. D. Da^'ff, J. Stenliouso, J. M'Connochie, J. Black, Gf. Beid, and G. Searlo.
