INVALIDED NEW ZEALANDERS. WELLINGTON, June 26.
The Government have decided to request the Government of Cape Colony to see that invalid members of the New Zealand contingents are well clothed, and advance them a month's pay, for which the New Zealand Government will be responsible.
His Excellency will be asked to draw the attention of the Imperial authorities to the inadequacy of the hospital accommodation provided for New Zealanders, and to thank Mr Hay, the United States consul at Pretoria, for the kindness he has shown to our men who were taken prisoners.
COLONEL ROBIN.
The Cabinet has requested the Governor to recommend Major Robin for promotion to colonel. DEATH OP TWO NEW ZEALANDERS. Sir Alfred Milner reports the death at Beira, on June 19, of J. F. H. Saxon, of the fourth contingent. He came from Palmerston North, where he was formerly engaged farming. The Government are advised of the death at Kroonstad, from enteric fever, of Trooper T. W. Poole, of the second contingent. He was in the railway service at Invercargill, but his home was at Westport. _____
Ten o'clock licenses will come into fore*, in the Bruce licensing district on Mond^ next.
