THE LABOUR MARKET.

.'--Skene and Son report, under date May 29: — This spell of fine weather is all in favour of outdoor work. Very few men are, or should be, idle. All tha same, far too many object to hard work. Ploughing is in full swing. Trappers' are growling at the frost. , We can do with several station and farm couples, and married shepherds. Dairy lads get scarcer every seaspr — they prefer rabbiting. The demand is steady for grooms, gardeners, and labourers. The building trade is in grand heart, and the demand for dwellings is large. Wages all round for country and town are liberal, and prospects are very encouraging.
