LOXDOIC, May 25.' At the Colonial Club dinner at the Hoxef Cecil 550 were present. Sir Robert Herbert presided. The Agents-general were present.. The Duke of Cambridge, in proposing th§ toast of the ccrlonies, said they had admir* ably done their duty. He anticipated a permanence of the present Imperial sentiment, .placing the Empire' in a position which would be very disagreeable for- anj State attacking it. Earl Kimberley congratulated the delegates on the settlement of the federal difficulty. He hoped the interests of the Empire would ever be the .watch-word of th« party. . Mr Deakin made a powerful speech, and received an ovation. He paid a tribute to Mr Chamberlain's ability and tact. Tht settlement of the difference with regard to the Commonwealth Bill was entirely satisfactory to Australia,
'".Long Cecil" was built by the De Beere Company in three" weeks.
