CLEARING SALE OF HORSES, ETC., AT ISLA BANK.

Messrs Wright, Stepheson, and Co: report as follows: — On. Thursday, 17th inst., welield a, clearing sale on account of Mr Wm. M'Kenzie, juh., Isla Bank. There was a, large number of buyers present, but owing to the flooded state of creeks and, rivers, many who had intimated that they would attend did not put in an appearance. Notwithstanding this, the sale was a, successful one, and we think Mr M'Kenzie may fairly be congratulated on the prices obtained. We quote the following as an indication of prices going: — Horses: Yearling entire colt Earl Russell, dam Kate Kelly, sire Macarthur, secured by Mr John M'Farlane, Druinmond, at 70gs ; bay mare Blossom, sire Herd Laddie, dsim Blossom by Hero, to Mr H. Wilson, Ryal Bush, at 68gs; aged mare Jean, sire Hero, dam Nellie by Prince of Wales, to Mr J. Shearer, Drurnmond, at 59gs; aged mare Jess, sire Hero, dam Nellie by Prince of Wales, to Mr David Clark, Heddon Bush, at 52gs; bay mare Kate Kelly, aged, sire Old Times, Mr Donald Ewing, Drummond, 44gs; four-year-old gelding Prince, by Herd Laddie, £47 10s; four-year-old gelding Mac, by Herd Laddie, £47 ; two-year-old gelding, by Robin Hood, £31; yearling gelding, by G-ownston Prince, £23; yearling gelding, by Macarthur, £20; yearling filly, by Macarthur, dam Jess; £27; filly foai by Craigievar, dam Kate Kelly, £18; 2 colt f(sals, by Craigievar, JSIS each; two-year-old hack, by Wioklow, £17 10s : three-year-old hack, by Saturn, £15. Cattle: Steers sold at £i 10s, cows £3 2s 6d. Implements : Drill £16, roller £18, harrows £7 ss, do £6 10s, disc do £9, dog cart £11; also a large quantity of sundries at equally satisfactory prices. On account of other vendors we sold a bay mare at £40 ; 1 do, aged, at £25 10s ; 1 white mare, aged, £14 ; etc.
