NORTHCOTE'S KINEMATOGRAPH COMPANY.

The only possible objection that could have been taken to the performance by Northcote's Kinematograph and Unique Specialty Com-" pany at the Princess Theatre on Monday evening was the extreme length of the programme— r defect very easily remedied. Mr Nothcote has secured a large nvirber of new kinematograph pictuies, most of which are quite equal to, and some superior to, tho=e which he has previously placed before the public. Apart "from war scenes, there are a gieat many portraying illusions introduced m JUondon by Messrs Maskelyne and Cook, and these, though lacking the interest that attaches to the war pictures, are probably better and moia entertaining. Many of the pictures are really excellent, and the claim that they aie new is perfectly well founded, not more than one or two of them having been saen here before. The myrioramic reproductions, which included the porliaits of a number of leaders of the "British iorees in South Africa, among them being a pictuie of Colonel^ Baden-Powell, which was hailed with a tumuit of applpuse, are quite equal to anything of the kind the public have been accusloraed to see here. The showing of the pictures, kinematograph and rnyiioramic, v.'as diversified by the appearance of a number of artists, whoso services had been secured by Mr iTorthcole. and none of these failed to win tho hearty good opinions of ike audience, vhich was particularly large downstairs, the circle being also liberally patronised. The entertaining performance by the St. Georges, in which was introduced many amusing passages-at--aim-, between Mr and Mrs St. Gxorgc, and the playing on instruments far too numerous to mention, was quite a feature of the evening, as was also the appearance of Zono, a ve^y clever juggler, who filled his part with extraordinary skill and dexteiity, and, though many of his feats vere not new, they weie clone in such a, manner that they could not be expected" to pass without the high tribute from the audience that was veiy readily forthcoming The Misses Nita Beresford and Flo Wilton sans> a couple of songs, and the Harvey Brothers also appeared in specialties.
