A distressing accident happened at Broken Hill on the 7th inst., when Margaret Maxwell Lake, aged 13, was shot by her brother, aged 17. The girl stated that she and her brother were pretending to be Britisher v. Boer, when he fired a Winchester rifle at her, the bullet perforating the lung below the heart. The boy did not know the rifle was loaded*
