The Management, recognising the incentive to Colonial Avnters offered by these Prize Tala Competitions, have decided to offer the following Prizes to be competed for. At tha same time they desire to state that a higher average of work in these stories will be expected, and arranged for in the, judging, sinca it is reasonable, in the interests of Avriters and readers both, to expect a yearly improving standard of merit. Stories not to exceed 6000 words, to ba clearly and legibly written on one side of tha" . paper only, marked "Witness Prize Tale Competition," with NUMBER OF SECTION THEY ARE ENTERED FOR, and in all casss to be accompanied by the real name and address of the Avriter, as well as a norn de plume.
