The crier in one of the As&ize Courts in the North of Ireland, who was also the personal attendant on one of the judges, prized himself greatly on the correctness of his grammar, and was very much annoyed whenever any
person in. his hearing committed a grammatical blunder. leading barrister, who practised in his master's court, was not so paiticular as to his "parts of r-pecch." This barrister, when on cii'cuu, calling one clay ot the lodgings of the judges to pay his lespects, asked the grjmmDtical crier, who opened the doer to him^ "Is vhe juries at home':" "Xo, cir 5 sternly ieplied the outraged giammarian, "but one of them are,"' drawling out the las I word with marked emphasis, in intended correction of tho barrister's blunder.
