BUGGY ACCIDENTS IN OTAGO CENTR AL. NASEBY, April 30.
A drag conveying visitors from Naseby to the opening of the Roman Catholic Church at Ranfurly was returning in the evening, when it capsized. The night was very dark. Mrs B. Sullivan was severely injured, both her legs being broken. A buggy returning to "Wedderburn attempted lo pass and collided with another going in the same direction at Woodney's Hill. One young lady — Miss Lucretia_ Theresa M'Bride, of the Wedderburn Hotel — we& thrown out, and died instantly. An inquest will be lield.
Mr T. W. T. Baxter, who has acted as editor of the Southern Standard during the past six months, has received an appointment on the staff of the Ashburton Standard.
"I am pleased to know," said Mr A. W. Hogg, M.H.R., to a deputation in Eketahuna last week, " that you have not much use for your cemetery."
