Owing to the rapid- expansion of tmsiness at the Gore railway station, tbe present yard accommodation has proved inadequate to the demands of the times. As a result of this we (Ensign) believe'a proposal' is now under consideration by the Railway department to remove the station buildings lo*a site near the iWigan street' crossing, towards the' -showgroundsi,- where the accommodation will be increased ; while the danger to the residents consequent upon shunting operations will be lessened.
