" ROUND AND ABOUT PARIS."
For one cause or another the eyes of civilised nations are ever turning, with fresh and wondering curiosity, towards that most cosmopolitan, fascinating, and ever gay city, Paris. London, infinitely more vast, rich, beyond compare, powerful, and filled with the best of everything, is, after all, a dull, slowly moving^ jand grimy old place, contrasted with its brilliant, paradoxical, inconceivably: n?u%,^ch'al;teri.hg, witty, excitable, puzzling neighbour, Paris. We shall, from time lo time, have articles descriptive of the Exhibition just opened, but meanwhile we give below a few illustrations of sights and scenes which tourists will have the opportunity of noting during their visit to France. The drawings are by Mr Thomas Macquoid, R.I.
