Wheat. — There is a good demand for prime qualities, but medium and inferior sorts are quite neglected. The demand for fowl feed is quiet. W<? quote : Best velvet. 2s s£d to 2s 6Jd; medium. 2s 4d to 2s sd; best Tuscan, 2s 6d to 2s 7d; medium, 2s sd; fowl ■\\li eat, Is lid to 2s. Oats: Owing to the Sydney market being practically closed, and orders for South Africa being filled in the meantime, the demand is very quiet. We quote : Best feed, Is 8d to Is BJd ; medium and inferior. Is 5d to Is 7Jd per bushel; Sutherlands, Is 9d to Is lOd. Barley : Buyers have not started to operate yet, so in the meantime there is no business passing. Feed sorts are quoted at Is 6d to 13 9d; milling, Is lOd to 2s ; prime malting, 2s 6d to 2s 9d. Ryecorn, nominally, 2s to 2s 6d, no sale. Flour : We quote £6 10s. Oatmeal in 25's, £11. Pearl barley,' £10 10s. "Bran, £3. Pollard, £4. Nelson hops are quoted at 8d to lid (f.0.b.). Chaff: Supplies have been heavier, and the market is weaker. Prime, £2 10s; medium, £2 to £2 7s 6d.
