STEELE-PAYNE COMPANY.

There was a fair attendance at the Agricultural Hall on the 25th, when the Steele-Payne Bellringers gave one of their highly enjoyable eirteitaininents. The programme was similar to those already presented by the company, and it was received with every mark of favour. The list of items was considerably enlarged owing to the frequency with which encores were demanded, and altogether the entertainment may be said to have reached the standard of excellence which is associated with the SteelePayne Company's performances. Miss Lizzie Payne, besides playing a violin sole, sang " The tin gee-gee," and contributed a selected item on the sleigh bells. Mr Ralph Steele played on the glassophone, and sang ,a couple of humorous songs, while the contributions of Master Claude Steele," Mr James Williams, and Miss Kate Malier were highly appreciated. The company's contributions also elicited warm expressions of approval.
