A mile from home Irish Girl fell, and before entering the straight Soliman broke a blood vessel, and was pulled up when going well. Soon after entering the straight Count Schomberg was beaten, and Tornado II and Friary became prominent, as did Uppercut and Wales. Two hurdles from home Friary took up the running, followed by Uppercut, Tornado 11, Hearwood, Count Schomberg, and White Frosl. In the run home Friary readily held his own and won by a length and a-half. '* EPSOM. Wednesday, April 25.
