On Wednesday, the 11th, Miss Dora Galbraith was married to Mr W. Wood (Balfour), at her residence in Lsel street. Among those present besides the sisters of the bride were Mrs Rogers and Miss Rogers (Glenquoich), Mr and Mrs Wood (Sydney), the bridegroom's parents, Miss Wood. Mrs Robert Gillies (Oamaru), sister of the bridegroom, and Dr and Mrs

For a quiet afternoon's enjoyment commend me .to a flower show. The evening's attraction is, of course, th& music, .all truo lovers of flowers making a point of attending in the afternoon if possible. The coming show of the Dunedin Horticultural Society, on May 9 and 10, will be specially attractive, as the Chrysanthemum Club "are combining forces with the society, and the result cannot fail to be all that could be desired from a floral point of view. Table decorations are also to be a strong feature. In the afternoon the Black family of musicians are to provide the music, while in the evening Flint's orchestra will occupy the stage, and will play a number of bright new pieces. The 'Misses Murray will provide refreshments. .
