The polling for tho election of the Licensing Committee for tho licensing district coterminous with the electoral district of Dunedin took place on Thursdaj*. There v/as not a grout deal of interest taken in the voting, and tho general im-pre-jdion during the day was that the '" Moderate" party would be returned by a biibstautial, but not an overwhelming, majority. All returns came promptly to hand, and shortly before 9 o'clock Mr Taylor announced the result of the poll to be as follows: — Moderate Candidates. Votes.
