Mr Theomin also realises the urgent need for augmenting the fund, and has increased his former subscription of £5 5s to £25. In acknowledging Mr Tiieoinin's second subscription to our " more horses '', fund, the amount was stated in error as £14 15s, instead of £19 153, the latter sum, added to a first sub 1 scription of £o ss, making Mr Theomin's subscription £25. Mr Walter Rivers, *a member of the SteelePayne Bellringprs, has been singing ".The) Absent-minded Beggar " at Lawrence, Miller's Flat, and Alexandra. The result has teen a nightly shower of small change, and Mr Steele 1 , the manager, has forwarded £i S3, which is acknowledged above. Tlie Westport Times states that Mr Griffiii is resigning charge of the Waimangaroa School, having received a superior appointment in Otago.
