jp- INVESTORS IN DREDGING SHARES. The directors of the Zealandia Syndicate (limited) having had their attention drawn to the lact that some of the West Coast dredging areat will be unworkable 0:1 account of buried timber being present in the giound, and others on account of veiy laige quantities of black sand being mixed with the wash, wish it to be distinctly understood that their mining experts, Messrs John Don and Norman K. Sligo, have had special instructions not to take up any options where these conditions are supposetl to exist. It may not be out of place to mention that the directors of the Syndicate have already iefu=ed options over scveial undoubtedly rich claims, which, in their experts opinion, cannot be profitably worked by present date machinery and goid-saving appliances oa account of these drawbacks. One of* the mam objects of the Zealandia Syndicate is to put on the market sound piopsities, well piospecled, and approved by thorotighly reliable mining experts, so that the public may look upon the mor.ey invested in the Companies floated by this Syndicate moic as a genuiw investment than a pure speculation. The properties already floated by the Syndicate are: — Ahaura "River Gold Dredging Company, Grey River Consolidated Gold Diedg'mg, Company, Orwell Cieek Gold Dredging Company, Erickson's Eewaid Gold Dredging Company, all of which command a premium. The successful flotation of Watterson's Consols and Trafalgar Claims, row on the maiket, is also assured. The Syndicate also hold options over several other reputedly rich areas on the West Coast, which are now being thoroughly tested, and will in due course be placed befor the public if they prove to be rich in the precious metal. Anyone investing in any of these properties can, therefore, look forward with confide/ice to securing a genuine investment , that will yield good returns for the capital invested. D. LESLIE, Dunedin, February 5, 1900. Secretary to Zealandia Syndicate.
